Up to now, during the development of the art of vocal music in china, one generation of remarkable singers emerged after another. Wu Bixia, a famous lyric coloratura soprano, has drawn wide attention both in china and abroad in the circle of vocal music, for her mastery of Chinese folk songs, western classical songs and foreign operatic arias. It can be said that the appearance of "phenomenon of Wu Bixia" has further stimulated the disputing about "Chinese style" in the area of Chinese vocal music. "Chinese style" is not proposed today, but was once suggested at the early period after the foundation of new china. However, at that time, the art of vocal music was barely acceptable in terms of science and international influence. Thus, we could only name it "national style" . During 1980s and 1990s, artists and theorists of the vocal music not only developed. Arranged and inherited the traditional theory, but also absorbed some advanced technology and teaching theories from western countries, thus making vocal music grow thrivingly. Nowadays, some great men in due course propose the name "Chinese style" , which deservers it in terms of scientific content and language description. Chinese vocal music is presenting a melting tendency to be creative while learning from tradition. It absorbs the merits of "bel canto, folk songs and popular songs" and forms its own feature— "Chinese style" . Whereas, in this new marginal area, we still can' t manage to do a systematic research from theory. Three aren' t many research books on it nor a research from theory. There aren' t many research books on it nor a research system in our country. We need continuously to sum up theory in technology. To further explores the trace of vocal music, to compare the way of singing between china and the West, to inherit our traditional research on vocal music theory and singing methods, to draw lessons from some advanced foreign pronouncing technologies, to furtherpromote the foundation of Chinese vocal music school, to establish a teaching system with Chinese characteristics, to determine the direction of development of our vocal music education, to train more Chinese talented singers with Chinese characteristics loved by the public, to gain more knowledge and perception about "Chinese style" , this paper plans to carry out a research about "Chinese style"This paper includes six parts.
