| During the 1910-1917 Mexican bourgeois Revolution, the American government had dispatched troops twice to intervene the revolution. Compared with the other numerous large-scale military operations in American history, these two invasions were nothing to speak of, but compared with American's frequent and fruitful military operations in Latin America during the same period, the two military interferences were of the largest scale, yet, with less military success. The two military operations occurred during World War I and before America's participation in the war in Europe. There is no doubt this special historical background played an important role in urging the United States to participate the European war, encouraging it to carry out military reform to strengthen its military force. At the same time, by approaching these two military operations, the nature and characteristics of America's military actions in Latin America and Caribbean Sea can be refracted.As for these two military operations, most of the books and materials only give rough overview, or just give simple argumentations on some aspects, they lack detailed panoramic recordation and deep and thorough argumentation. The author has made thorough probe into the two military operations. In this thesis, the author first gives a simple introspection of the country's rapid domestic economic growth, the rising trend of thought of expansion and the frequent military actions all over the world before the two military operations, focusing on the growing up of America's military force in the late 19th and early 20th. The author also gives a brief introduction to the domestic situations of Mexico before the 1910-1917 Mexican Revolution and a brief course of the Revolution. Then, the author further analyses the political,economic and military strategy reasons for America's military interference, and gives a detailed argumentation about the signals for the two military operations, and the purposes, plans and progress of the war. Finally, the author commentates the two military operations from the following aspects such as the nature and characteristics, the reasons for America's defeat, and the historical influence of the two military operations. At the same time, the author also refutes some bourgeois scholars'wrong viewpoints. There is no doubt that America's two military operations were invasive in nature.
