Action research is the process of systematically evaluating the consequences ofeducational decisions and adjusting practice to maximize effectiveness.This paper mainly gives a detailed introduction to the general idea of action research andthe ways how it can be applied in the piano lecture given to a large number of students. A verypractical teaching approach can be derived from the study of action research case ofeducational practice and so we can do something better to manage how to teach in the realsituation.This paper included mainly the following four parts.Partâ… : The definition theory, applying fields and methods of action research.Partâ…¡: Questionnaires were given out as the investigation form to students of a normalschool in Changchun City to find out the necessity and values of action research.Partâ…¢: According to the preliminary data analysis, we expound and proved thefeasibility of action research. Some very practical teaching methods and approaches can bederived from the study of action research case of educational practice based upon theliterature.Part IV: According to the three action research reports showing here, we have analysedthe specific key links and approaches of action research, developing some plans about how touse methods and techniques of action research to deal with the practical problems in the pianolecture given to a large number of students teaching.
