Study Of The Narrative Of Documentary And The Representation Of That Narrative

In many people minds, the documentary, as the living mirror of human, verifies the socialbeing of themselves. Lots of people commonly believe that the documentary represents thetruth and the objectivity. While, in my opinion, that is not true. Based on the theory ofstructuralism narratology and semiology, took the documentary text as the object of study, thisthesis analyzed the relationship between the structure of documentary and the spirit of that. Ianalyzed the difference between the documentary and the fiction film by the film semiology,and hope to find out the special and typical narrative structure, furthermore, to find therhetorical property tactics of the narrative. then ,we can see a documentary ,different from afiction, has no-narrative and no-author representation .yet all of these embodied there is ankind of narrative in the documentary ,this unnarrative structure implied the exist ofdocumentary author .that was why we can't feel the author 's exist and then feel that the film isthe true life itself .The representation difference between the fiction and the documentary is brought intoexistence by the property of the visual code ,that is why the documentary give us the truthfeeling .When we study this feeling which the visual code give us we can confirm theconclusion we drew previously, and either confirm the diversification of documentaries. Thisdiversification will reflect the documentary humanization as well as our respect to our life.
