Li he is one of the most successful poets on the poem stage of Mid-Tang dynasty. Hispoems have been known popularly for their sorrow ,sadness ,mystery etc for thousands ofyears. He lived in the confused ,weak Mid-Tang dynasty ,all sorts of real misfortune whathappened made him taste a variety of life misery ,therefore ,his poems obviously show astrong depressive sense .The thesis will discuss and analyze the depressive complex of Li heand his poems in three ways .The paper stands Li he's mental world to dissect his poems, at first, in the introduction,the author points out Li he's depressive mentality is peculiar for him, and leads to thediscussion of his depressive sense from this point. In the first part of the thesis, the authordirects writers' common character of depression originates their political lose complex, thenmakes clear the existence of Li he's depressive feeling. In part 2, the author analyzes Li he'sfour expression of the depressive mental state: the suffering for the spectators, the colorfulsadness, the helplessness of ability not equal to his ambition, the despair that he will aged,this is the keystone of thesis. The third part is the main body and points out three causes offormation of Li he's depressive sense :the common cause ,the special cause and the othercause, then the author carries on a detailed illumination ,besides ,the author emphatically tellsabout Li he's childish mentality,failing human contact ,knowledge for the ways of the worldand himself that are conscious, but not intellectual. According to the above-mentioned in thethree parts, in part 4, the author appraises Li he and his poems again, and directs his poemsare real mental record and Li he is a real temperament poet. At last, the end states that, as asuccessful poet, he is lonely and depressive, so he is only a person who is toilworn byhimself .What does the paper choose is an old title undoubtedly, and is studied thoroughly by mostscholars. But the author does her utmost to avoid the familiar achievements .She opens upanother way and gives the paper some new and original contents, for example, the expressionof Li he's depressive mental state in part 2, the special reason and the other reason in part 3,they are essence of the thesis, perhaps they are superficial, but they belong to the authorherself.
