The Reason Of Existing And Present Condition Of American Cult

Cults emerged in large amount during the climax of rising religious movement in the nineteen-sixties and nineteen-seventies. American authorities had not been able to take effective control of the emergence and anti-society activities due to the American justice construction. Cults have had influence and impact on American government, justice, common life and so on, In this thesis, the process of the development of American cults will be stated, and possibilities and inevitabilities of cults' existence of American cults will be discussed, according to recent document from the historical point of view, applying the research achievement of sociology and religion. The whole thesis consists of introduction, straight matter and conclusion.Introduction part mainly introduced the recent study on the rising religions and cults, and the reason why this topic is chosen, means of research and innovation of the research in this thesis.The straight matter is divided into three parts. In Part One, the various definitions of cults and rising religions, as well as the differences between them, will be stated, in order to provide further research in this thesis. In part two, the reason of the vast existence of the cults for mainly two reasons: the historical reasons and realistic reason. For the historical reason, there are issues of the nationality and culture, and the construction and constitution of America. For the realistic reason, there are issues of modernization, post-modernization, social pluralism and religious secularism. In part three, the impacts of cults on the America society is emphasized, indicating the conflict between the cults and society, and the attitude and emprise of the government and the people.In the conclusion part, the thesis statement of this thesis in reinforced.
