Fyodor Dostoevsky's words are impressive; it has taken us one hundred years fully to appreciate them. He often has been as one of the originator about Existentialism. The existentialists, as Martin Heidegger, Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, and so on, all have considered that Existentialism from Dostoevsky to Sartre. Although Dostoevsky was Christian with strong religious beliefs that go against existentialism, his characters were often existentialists. Many of Dostoevsky's personal beliefs conflicted with the beliefs of his characters. In addition, People in Dostoevsky's novel always are freedom-fighter. Walter Kaufman once said, "I can see no reason for calling Dostoevsky an existentialist, but I do think Part One of Notes from Underground is the best overture for existentialism ever written." This brief Dostoevsky's philosophy is shown by his novels. People in the world must be up against tribulation and embarrassment. They should choose how to use their freedom. They must to think they live for themselves, others, or GOD.
