The Exploration Of Disserted Wives In The Eastern And Western Literature

A number of researches about disserted wives have been carried out. Yet many of them concentrate on a single major or majors in a special period. Many scholars have participated in the creation of poetry about disserted wives and left a number of works in the West and East. Yet few have developed entire and systematic explorations on these works. This dissertation intends to carry out a comprehensive and systematic research on poetry about disserted wives in the West and East in order to explore the profoundness and laws and unveil the deep cultural connotations. This dissertation consists of five chapters: In chapter one, the author makes a detailed introduction of the majors of disserted wives in the literature of China. Chapter two analyzes the majors of disserted wives in the literature of West, including the reasons that they disappeared in West. Chapter three explores the tragic color on the majors of the disserted wives. Chapter four analyzes the Similarities and Differences between the West and East. Chapter five quests for the deep cultural reasons by investigating the difference between West and East.
