Beyond The Borderline

This paper is mainly concerned with some regular patterns in practical producing of Movie & TV Drama. With analyzing point of view , time and space structure of "poetic being" in Movie & TV Drama, this paper presents consistency of point of view, complete configuration of image's time and space in audience's imagination and relevant conclusions as following: Firstly, we should keep consistency of the point of view in a certain section by specifying the image's style and the identity of the hidden observers. Time structure and space structure should be extended mutually for the sake of gradual Gestalt of them in audience's imagination. Secondly, starting with long take and montage as basic techniques of image materials combination, we can generalize their respective techniques and rules. Now we take the long take technique for instance. In order to span time and space scene by tracking or panning shot, we should precisely control our shooting scale with the help of accurate mise on scene. In order to span different acting area, we can make use of shadow in mirror referring to transferring focus in depth of the field. Additionally, the exchange of objective and subjective shots, thread's effect on line of sight, even the setting of screening equipment and so on are also involved in this paper. As for montage technique, screen lattice , sound contraposition or no contraposition, switching between subjective shot and objective shot and maintenance or damage on audience's visual inertia are refereed to. Specially, this paper bursts with related selections from various Movie & TV Dramas, in order to reveal the possibility of application of these techniques in practical image producing, and the creditability of these amazing artistic effects. It also generalize the conception of "pure image time or space structure" in poetic being , in other words ,all the other things are unknown, especially out of shooting scale or before the view formed. The "unknown" can be an attitude towards the image and also a process that gradually accomplishes of image time or space structure. Finally, all the discussions indicate an attitude that the movie & TV Drama makers should hunt after the rules of image language consciously, reaching and going beyond the borderline of the image language system,, and finally exploit a new range of image language.
