The Exploration Of DIY Idea In Designing And The Analysis Of Its Application

The thought of DIY design emerges as a new one during the past 20 years, belonging to the post-modern design thoughts ,which has facilitated the naissance of many famous modern design works. Focusing on the natural and peaceful form aesthetics, as well as the easy-to-command processing and producing methods, it echoes with the call to protect the environment and save energy in today's world, in that DIY attaches great importance to rebuilding, refreshing and recycling the old and discarded articles. Floating between the high and the middle, oriented to the class between the masses and specific consummer group is the distinctive feature of this trend of thought, in which the fundamental view towords design of the newly emerged middle class equipped with high academic degrees has found its best expression.It is also a demonstration of the increasing awareness of the masses and the new acrrent of their desire to join in the design activity.Started with the concept of DIY design,this paper will give an account of its characteristics, creation methods, ideological roots and its development course.(or analysing its history from the perspective of DIY thought.)
