The thinking of Buddhism vary with different background of concrete cultures and different levels of learners. So its some aspects has got evolved especially, including the thinking of leaving the world. In the early period of Indian Buddhism, people often pursued personal liberation as the result of Indian culture's influence. Hence, the thinking of Hinayana caused special attention, and its thinking of leaving the world mainly manifested to abandon secular life and pursue pure Nirvana. With the prosperity of Mahayana, this thinking developed gradually. Sole Consciousness School is based on the theory of three self-natures, the eighth consciousness, etc. And Madhyamika School is based on the theory that nature is empty. Both of them illustrate the thinking of leaving the world. To do this, it is necessary to define the world first and then to direct people how to leave the world;to judge the value of the world first and then to choose to leave the world;to know exactly the pursued target first and then to arrange the circumstance after leaving the world;to connect the nature of the world with leaving the world first and then to make a conclusion that the starting point and the terminal point can fuse. Concretely speaking, in the system of Buddhism thinking, the world includes sentient beings world, material world, time, space, etc. And the thinking of leaving the world necessarily presents leaving not the part of the world but the entire world. The reason why Buddhism advocates leaving the world is that in its opinion there are all kinds of suffering everywhere in the entire world. So the world is not worth enjoying. This pure Nirvana after leaving the world brings the conclusion that there is no self in the world. This means that since there is no self, Buddha only resides on emptiness and saves without-self beings. All of this is real impermanent Nirvana. The reason why the departure is possible is that the circumstance which sentient beings pursue is just the whole universe'sreal nature. That is to say, without adding or minimizing;without leaving the world or residing on the world.By the rational analysis step by step, the Buddhism thinking of leaving the world can gradually appear before us.
