Chorus art is a completely new topic in the field of fine art. And each research project pertaining to chorus art has its unique and profound significance. And thesis is among these studies to have an exploration in the area of chorus art from a new perspective.The thesis begins, in the prelude, with a clear-cut definition of the research target, goal, significance and the angle from which we are to study. In addition, a sketchy introduction of the development of chorus art in the west and china will be given. Chorus is a highly inclusive genre of music and its inclusiveness firstly is revealed by its form. We recapitulate the ontological form of chorus from three aspects. First, chorus is an orchestral performance which evolves human and instruments. By virtue of the human components, chorus may be divided into child, female, male and mixture chorus. The thesis will briefly introduce these forms and taking variety of different singers' expressiveness into consideration, we shall analyze the reasons and aims by which different human forms are selected according to different modes and styles and how such selections embody the beauty and charm of chorus. Secondly, we shall from the perspective of different components, analyze one by one seven singing forms, namely, singing in turn, singing in unison, singing in pair, singing after a leader, reduplicated singing, recitation and solo. We shall show how these singing forms, with respective peculiarities, display the all-round beauty of chorus. Lastly, the thesis discusses several other art genres associated with chorus. They are the lyric, accompany, stage acting, conduction and so on. In the inclusive body of chorus, all art forms have their won extraordinary contributions to the glory of chorus.Namely, chorus can participate into many other art forms, that is, it can be an active part of drama, music play, film and TV program and symphony. In doing this, chorus gets its charm and pith full displayed in other art genres.Chorus is a multi-faceted and multi-layered comprehensive art form and just because of this can we enjoy the bewildering variety of forms and styles in chorus art. However, whichever form should serve the content. In this spirit, the only way for us to understand chorus art is to explore it from the basic chorus forms.
