Researches On The Etymological Cognate In Zigu And Yifu

From the angle of etymology , this paper analyze the phonology and lexeme of these rational words ,which were made by HuangSheng's ZiGu and YiFu (《字诂》《义府》) .In the course of the research ,according as the literature of pre-Qin , the Western and Eastern Han Dynasties and those interpretative material made by later generations .We get 47sets of paronym in the end (including 35 sets of monosyllabic paronym and 12 disyllabic sets of paronym ). We conclude and analyze the relation types of phonology and lexeme, the disciplinarian of phonology transformation. On the base of traditional etymology, we try to expose systematically and thoroughly the achievement and contribution of ZiGu and YiFu , analyze the faults and limitations, summary and generalize HuangSheng's etymological approach . All about these can provide the later generations with experience to study etymology and help to lay a good foundation for the method system to research the modern etymology.Besides the introduction and conclusion, the second chapter to the fourth chapter which holds three parts is the body of the paper Part One gives a study of the phonology and lexeme of the etymological cognate in HuangSheng's ZiGu and YiFu;Part Two mainly study the method system to research the paronym of the two books;Part Three analyze the achievement , contribution and limitations of ZiGu and YiFu .
