Hindemith's Theory Adopted In Luo Zhongrong Music Theme

Luo Zhong Rong, an outstanding modern composer and theorist of China, has created many excellent music works by various kinds of skills in different time. Especially in his later works composed by modern skills, in these works the composer has combined the essentials of Chinese traditional folk music with the modern music skills together successfully and made a great achievement. This thesis mainly selects the works of Mr. Luo's third creation stage, which were composed by using Germany composer Paul Hindemith's composing theory and skills, as the analytical object, hoping to summarize the characteristics of the combination of the Hindemith music system and Chinese folk music and to clarify the venation of Mr. Luo's creations by analyzing the cantus and harmonics of his works. We hope this thesis will have a positive effect on the issue of uniting the Chinese folk music language and modern composing skills, thus to promote the relative researches.This thesis is consisted of introduction, text and conclusion. The introduction is mainly focused on the Luo Zhong Rong 's life and his leading works, as well as the basic principles of Hindemith's theory;the text, which is the main body of this thesis, will be the analysis on the cantus and harmonics styles of his works;lastly, the conclusion will summarize the overall characteristics of his works and bring about the issue of the standard of the combination of the modern composing skills and traditional folk music.
