The family appellation words are the direction indicator of the culture and times. Review the changes of the family appellation have linguistic and cultural meaning. Being one of the most antiquated languages, the Chinese developed along with 5000 -year history. The family appellation words are the outer signs of the kindred and family notion of the Chinese nation. In the system, the thumbprint of the nation language and culture are accumulated. Although the contemporary strain appellation system has great differences with the old one already, they reflect the tradition morality and merit notion in a certain extent still. This article manages to use depictive, analytic and comparative means, discusses the characteristics of the family appellation words' about their phonetic and semantic of the 12 spots in Shaanxi province entirely, then post the cultural connotation of the family appellation words in ShaanXi dialects.The first chapter is the prelude which explains the meaning and the current situation of the task research, it also make the material origin and the method clear briefly.The second chapter analyses the phonetic and semantic characteristics of ShaanXi dialect. After chose and compared the 28 family appellation words in the 8 dialect spots, we can make a conclusion that the appellation words is a kind of static words which is in the comparative reserved situation. They are a system which is stable and they have commonness in the semantic meaning. This chapter also introduces the differences between the back and face appellations in the directly and indirectly-related members of one's family, and some of them are both belong to the two kinds of appellations. There are not only phenomenon of "homomorphism and different indication" in the variety dialects, but also the phenomenon of "heteromorphism and same meaning" in same dialect or between the different dialects. They were represented in three facets. This part also accounts for the evolvement of the country family appellation words via describing the changes and reasons of the country languages of Gaojia village, BaoJi city in the process of citilization.The third chapter analyses the phonetic characteristic of the appellation words in ShaanXi dialects.
