By means of analyzing the male psychological tendency through the female characters created by male writers is one of the important approaches in feminist literary criticism, but it is likely to be unilateral. When the paper is trying to find out his view on the female and specifically analyzes it in light of contemporary social background, female characters' personalities and traditional moral standards, a more complete and more critical idea will come out. Although he showed supremely sympathy and understanding to women, he was still ready to obey the traditional gender prejudice and value prejudice, therefore, his view can't avoid from the influence of male authority and their culture due to his own sex. But fortunately we still can experience his eternal aspiration for truth, kindness and beauty by reading his ideal characters and their happy families.
