The subjects included 312 normal children from the regular schools in Shanghai, 30 children lived in foster family and 36 children lived in Shanghai Children's Home. The research employed various education science research approaches such as literature, questionnaire to collect the data and descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression Analysis and structural equation model to analyse the data. The questionnaires designed by the researcher was used to investigate the status of the foster children's Well-being in their families and also to explore the relations between well-being and the objective and subjective influential factors such as family adaptability and cohesion, life events and social support, coping styles and self-concepts.
