Bing Xin is worthy of the title"author of love"in the 20th century. Her philosophy of love consists of three parts: maternal love, love of children and love of nature. Most of the researchers support that the reason for this is her belief in Christianity. Therefore Christian Love is believed to be the foundation of her"philosophy of love".Firstly, based on the research of the structures of her family, the life (some seven or eight years) spent with her father in Yantai and her education, the present thesis finds that Bing Xin's philosophy of love, is a specific representation of the fusion of the above-mentioned factors.Secondly, the thesis respectively studies into the three parts of Bing Xin's Philosophy of Love: maternal love, love of children and love of nature. Finally, the thesis, making comparative research on the triple love by referring to the triple love in Holy Bible, reaches the conclusion that Bing Xin's love after fusion is specific to her, which is quite different from Christianity, though the love has some religious association. In order to make it clear the thesis illustrates the differences from three ways. First, Love in Holy Bible is the love from Gods which dominates all the loves, including maternal love and love of children. But Bing Xin's love is totally different in that maternal love, even positioned equal to the love from Gods, is the theme of her philosophy of love from the start to finish. Secondly, the babies or children in the New Testament, the symbol of delicacy and being humility, is the highest morality of a new ethic order in Jesus Christ, who, obviously praises babies in religious belief. As for Bing Xin, child (baby) is a hymn of humanity, not of Gods. Thirdly, nature in the Holy Bible represents the God, not the God Himself. But as for Bing Xin, nature is the omnipresent representation of nature itself. In her works, nature is combined with maternal love and love of children and fused together, thus forming love of manifold and beauty of manifold.
