Bai Juyi's Poetry Creature And His Living In Luoyang The East Capital Of Tang Dynasty

Bai Juyi's thought and work can be divided into two stages approximately, the earlier period positive and enterprising, the later period negative and conservative. When poet was a youth he was very famous for his satiric poem, but from Yuanhe later period(approximately 815-819),the comfortable poem became the main parts of its poetry work gradually. Bai Juyi passed his final 18 years (829-846) at his Lüdao chateau in the Eastern Capital. Residing in Luoyang, Bai Juyi composed poems in response to Liu Yuxi, Pei Du, Li Deyu, Linghu Chu and Cui Xuanliang and so on continually. Regarding Luoyang as the base ,a poets community which mainly include the retied officials was formed ,they focused on reflecting the comfortable life in poem specially. The experience at Luoyang has very huge influence to Bai Juyi: as far as the poetry are concerned, Bai Juyi's creation developed the poem theme area in a way which was different from the contemporary Han Yu's.
