This paper attends to research the unique value of novel creation in the area of femininity by Ling Shuhua, from the breach of the relationship between Ling Shuhua and the May 4th trend of women's emancipation.Through the existing researches on the May 4th trend of women's emancipation , we found that the May 4th trend of women's emancipation was advocated by the intellectuals of enlightenment at which men took a principal part. It saturated the practical requirements of the nation and the people's liberation, and the congenital dissepiments of "only women know and can express themselves" made the men enlighteners neglect the main demands of women, sometimes even misinterpret the life logic of women, and then affect their way and standpoint of thinking the May 4th trend of women's emancipation to be in the tendency of utility and simplification. However, the novels of Ling Shuhua mainly viewed women's life from women's angle and standpoint, which made her acquire much more experience and more detailed feelings, and have a habit of considering women's true main demands from their life experience and reasonable life logic. The way of exploring femininity as the standard of women's life by Ling Shuhua, not only made up the lack in researches on femininity from men enlighteners' angle on some degree, but also shaped the unique view of her own. Furthermore, it presented the both real and complicated prospects of the question at women's emancipation.
