The Influence Of "May 4th" Cultural Trend On Ling Shuhua's Creation

Ling Shuhua is a “neo-purdah” writer,whose novels focus on describing women and children.Her worksshow calm and gentle,blazing a different light in the "May 4th".At the same time,Ling Shuhua is also a member of the "May 4th" female writers group.She grew up in“May 4th”eraand has experienced the baptism of the May 4th cultural trend.Her literary creation is inseparable from the "May 4th" cultural trend of thought.In order to interpret Ling Shuhua's ideology and the her worksmore deeply,this paper attempts to explore the forming process of Ling Shuhua's unique literary style by taking the relationship between Ling Shuhua and the May 4th cultural trend as a breakthrough,aiming at enriching and improving the research of LingShuhua furtherly.This paper is divided into four parts: in first Chapter,author attempts summarizes several social and cultural trends of thought which have profound great influences during the May 4th Movement,to restores the growing environment in which Ling Shuhua lived in,and then discusses the influence of the "May 4th" cultural trend on Ling Shuhua's ideological values and pursuit of life;In the second chapter,author based on the two newspapers in which Ling Shuhua published in his early days,"The report of the Alumni Association of the first women's normal school of Zhili "And "The morning post Supplement”,the author explores the supplement of new media represented by modern newspapers and periodicals to Ling Shuhua's early creation;The third Chapter,Considering Ling Shuhua's contacts with the liberal literati of Anglo-American school during the May 4th Movement,this paper explores the influence of the "May 4th" liberalism thought on Ling Shuhua's creative pursuit.In the fourth paper,Ling Shuhua's works are analyzed in detail,and the relationship between the major themes of Ling Shuhua's creation,"female Writing" and "Children's Literature",and the New Literature Movement of May fourth Movement is explored to interpret Ling Shuhua's unique reflections on the issues of "female liberation" and "Children's Discovery".
