Research On India's Look East Policy

After the end of Cold War, the process of globalization accelerated,regionalism and regionalization acquired new development.The government of India made a correct assessment of situations,initiated Look East policy actively,combining the change of the domestic and international situation.Look East policy was the culmination of the national development and the national security strategy,became the important part of the great power strategy of India. Keeping on the persistent efforts for More than ten years ,Look East policy has acquired notable results. India, ASEAN, East Asia,and other countries are carrying on the fruitful co-operation in many realms such as economy,politics,safety etc..India looking East adds fresh impetus for the regional co-operation of East Asia.On the basis of the others'researches,this dissertation studied India's Look East policy,Marxist theories being taken for predominance and the related theories and methods being used for reference such as the international political economics,the annales school of French, etc. There are three remarkable aspects in this dissertation. the first,many countries such as China,Japan,South korea,were put into the research on India's look East policy,and their interactions were emphasized.The second,this dissertation elaborated the bilateral cooperation,and stressed the multilateral cooperation.The third,Look East policy was also the powerfully political push that India participated in the regional cooperation of Asia, and its influence on regional cooperation of East Asia. was analyzed.
