This dissertation, entitled"Translational Subject Research from Philosophical Perspective", is a theoretical exploration examining the parallels between translational subjectivity and philosophy. In contrast to the tradition of interpretation that affirms the existence of an exclusive target text corresponding to a certain source text because the conventional translational researchers seem unable to justify the conception of subjectivity, a long-standing but perennially ignored tradition that manifests itself through the diversity of existent target texts and the choice-making endeavor by the translation subject, the author has found resources within the philosophical corpus to readdress this rudimentary orientation.Recent Translation Studies, both at home and abroad, witness a surge in subjectivity researches. While it seems that the tension between translational subjectivity and translational objectivity might be assuaged by the reconciliation of these two vocabularies, there, however, still remains a deadlock, a sticking point, that is, the chronic absence of synthesization in varied explorations, which will surely inflict grave damages upon the verification of translation subject. When contrasted with the immaturity of subjectivity researches in Translation Studies, the philosophers, especially those of epistemology and hermeneutics, have long been meditating on this facet, a tradition that proceeds from Kant's early classics to the multifarious voices of both Heidegger and Gadamer. Therefore, what the author intends to show in this dissertation is the application of an integrated philosophical model to subjectivity research in translation. The integration and synthesization of this model will be pinpointed through the whole argumentation.
