Chinese ancient culture takes Confucianism as the leading factor. Since the pre-Qin period till the end of Han period, theories of art in China all took the musical theory as the core. Musicians of this period maintained the view of "having sad music ", until Wei Jin period, musician JiKang put forward the view of "having sad music "in his work, which raised the dispute and study between "having sad music "and "having sad music ".This text analyses and studies the conflict between musician JiKang's view of "not having sad music" and the view of "having sad music ". JiKang's work contains some unknown points and knowledge, so it leaves a lot of mysteries for us to seek and identify. This text tries to be a faithful record of the ancient spiritual wealth by analyzing the era background of JiKang's work and exemplifying the main views of it.The text can be divided into four major parts:â… . Introduction: It sums up the main content of the topic, and proves the important status of these two views in the history of Chinese music ,and the importance of this subject.â…¡.Body: The body of the text can be divided into four parts : 1.JiKang and his musical thoughts: Having introduced the life of JiKang and his works and the historical necessity of his musical thought;2." not having sad music " and " having sad music ": funeral music " in Ji's a brief introduction of JiKang's view; exemplifying the music theoreticians in Chinese and foreign history who had these two different views', the detailed study of JiKang's important view: (1) the origin of music; (2) relationship between the main subject and object in appreciating music; (3) whether music can transform social traditions.3. the relationship between music and emotion: There is certain connection between music and emotion, and music can express people's emotion ;4. conclusion: explaining the author's unripe view and the historic significance of Jikang's work.
