Aiming at tasks design for intermediate listening comprehension class, the paper is organized into two parts: theory design and application design. Through the research on tasks design, we try to explore the innovative methods on the reform for listening teaching of TCFL.Different from the viewpoint of "researcher-centered", we pay much attention to the intermediate learners' characteristics on listening comprehension, which makes our design more orientated. The key part of our research on theory is composition analysis and procedure analysis. In composition analysis, we initiate the principles and methods on classroom tasks design for intermediate listening comprehension in TCFL. The following is our main conclusions on this point:—The aims of the tasks have to be orientated. According to the questionnaire, we get the five main aims for the intermediate listening class, they are: enlarging world knowledge, rehearsing on authentic communication; training listening comprehension strategies; learning language and inspiring learners' motivation.—The input of the tasks has to be authentic. We suggest realizing it on the aspects of designing on sources, modes and quantity of input.—The participators of the tasks have to be active. Students should have some degree of controlling power and cooperation; teachers should play the roles of designers, input givers, cooperators and monitors.—The activities of the tasks have to be practical. We suggest realizing it on the aspects of designing on genre, style of activities and strategy training in activities. Embodied in teaching materials at present, we mainly use the techniques of changing order, changing demanding of exercises and increasing activities. On procedure analysis, we perform our research mainly on tasks steps, adjustment on the difficulties and task evaluation. The following is our main conclusions on that point:—In the design of performing steps, we combine the characteristics of...
