Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid progress in nation's modernization, the environmental pollution and destruction is getting worse and worse. In the border area of nation, where the ethnic groups live, the same problem is becoming more and more severe. In order to provide reasonable suggestions to the previous problem, in recent years, many experts have started to do study for environment issues which tend to focus on traditional culture of ethnic groups. In the paper, the natural area of interest is Hetian, Xinjiang. Environment involved in the traditional culture of Uigur in Hetian is analyzed, and that the culture of Uigur in Hetian is a culture of adaptation, reconstruction and harmonious with nature is proposed. Also being analyzed included the phenomenon of discontinuity in the traditional culture of Uigur in Hetian, and the author also suggests some approaches to protect the traditional culture of Uigur there. This main topic in this paper is as follows:(1) A retrospect of the ecological culture and protective study for the ethnic groups.This section briefly discusses the ecological culture and protective approaches in the ethnic groups area, analyzes the ecological portion in their culture which harmoniously coexist with the nature. The scholars focus their study of the ethnic groups' ecological culture in both the substance and spirit level, and the protective methods they have proposed mainly includes: make use of protection, governmental protection, legislative protection, emphasized protection.(2) An analysis of the ecological portion in the traditional culture of Uigur in Hetian area.Based on results from other scholars, the author discusses more comprehensively about the two levels in the ecological culture of Uigur in...
