In the increasingly open social and cultural context of the late 20th century, China's contemporary literature finally got across the unified realism literary era which had been going on nearly half a century and into the multiple coexistance stage of realism, modernism and postmodernism. Reviewing Chinese literature diversified sky of 1990s in the 20th century, the emergence of Wang Xiao-bo was like a strange starlight which lit the night sky.
