In human history development process, it takes a long time for the ape to evolve to the modern man. Environmental changes make corresponding changes in human organ of mastication. With man's developed knowledge andusage of fire, cooked and soft food took place of the raw and rough food, which led to the gradual weaken of the functional stimulus and developmental potentiality of masticating apparatus, thus the degeneration of masticatory organ shows a descendible trend. It can be found by studying the fossils of ancient people that skulls, jaw bones and teeth are continuously developed and diversified with human evolution.Shaanxi province is located in the middle reaches of the Yellow River. It is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization. Mankind multiplied and lived here early from the ancient times, created the colorful prehistorical culture, and left abundant cultural legacy. A large area, full of relics and ruins of the Yang Shao Culture from the Neolithic Age was discovered by the local people in the eastern suburbs Ban Po of Xian in 1950s.
