The Study On China Historical Documentary From 2000 To 2005

By the analysis on the historical documentaries which had been broadcast on CCTV from 2000 to 2005, the author tries to grasp the overall feature and the characteristic of the documentaries in this period.The dissertation summarizes the different types of the historical documentaries, and analyzes the representative works. Then it describes the different features of the different subject matters. It has been found that in this period the large number of historical documentaries reach a high-level. And in the dissertation the author thinks that the idea development of producing documentary and the fixed broadcast programs are the major reasons. Overall, these documentaries have used many skills to describe the subject, such as representational skill, TV screen and commentary. And all these show that the documentary has put attention to apply the narrative skill. To emphasis the importance of narration, the narrative models are arranged as a respective chapter in which the author discusses about the relationship between history and documentary and the feature of these historic documentaries, including narrator, the perspective of narration etc.
