Pi-Pa art is a subsystem of China culture system, and its survival and development status must be influenced by the culture atmosphere at that age. Pi-pa music is the carrier of pi-pa art, so this article scans the pi-pa art in the culture development history of modern China which is necessary to researching the development of pi-pa art. This article uses the research methods used in sociology and culturology and ethnomusicology for reference, and it takes the development status of plurality Pipa music creation since 1980s as the research object, then it analysis the plurality development status of pipa music creation since that. It aims to more clearly open out the plurality's specific representation of pipa music creation in a good many sides and to summarize its influence and meaning to the pipa art development.The article firstly introduces the main writings of pipa music creation sine the 1980's, and according to the time it summarizes the types of literature, the amount changes in different times and the main characteristics of the writings. Next, the article respectively expatiates on specific feature representation of pipa music creation in many aspects such as creation theme, types of literature, creation skill, pipa music writing groups etc. According to creation theme, the pipa music creation can be divided into several types such as nature, region, character and literature etc. And according to the types of literature, it can be divided into many forms such as solo, concerto and chamber music etc. its creation skills include traditional creation skill, modern creation skill, the skill conjunct with Chinese traditional material and western classicism and modern creation skills. On the other hand, the writing group was developed from performers to professional composers and foreign composers. At the end of the article, it explains the reasons that the plurality characteristics of pipa music development come into being. For example, being influenced by western music culture thought, the professional composers' attention to pipa music creation and the influence of music thought and culture policies and so on. At the same time, the article explains the influence of pipa music creation's plurality to the development of performance skills and musical instrument itself, and the article also analysis the revelation of plurality to pipa future music creation.
