The thought and method of zen always to exist in the Chinese society, it influences far-reachingly for the Chinese.The traditional Chinese extremely attach importance to the self- improvement and cultivation of their moral ,therefore interiorly there are many material information about the zen and the life, the zen and art and so on. Along with the deepening of the research and the practice application about the traditional thought of Buddhism and the technique of zen in the circles of clinical psychology, the significance of Buddhism for the psychological consultation gets more and more attention of the psychological group, like the relations of the technique of zen and the attentions the Japanese introspection therapy and so on. Although Buddhism's philosophy world outlook is idealist, but it to human's psychology activity analysis quite fine, not only reached higher authorities in the theory to the very high level, moreover in adjusted human's psychological function, promoted the self- growth, maintained the mind and body health the practice also to have the special psychology value. Recently speeds up along with the psychology development, the "cultivation oneself according to doctrine of zen"(COADZ) psychology research receives day by day takes, polysome present: First, carries on the psychology of the zen and the traditional west psychology concept comparison; Second, from self- growth and psychologically healthy angle research in mental healing function; Third, to introspection therapy research and so on, but repaired individual growth regarding the COADZ which entrusted with with psychological consultation teacher this occupation still to lack the complete research.This article attempts to discuss the significance of "cultivation oneself according to doctrine of zen"(COADZ) for the individual growth of psychological helpers from the expatiation of the COADZ, and provide a groat of reference for the prevention of the psychological helpers' occupational dry-up.
