On Artistic Features Of New Jotting

Since the new period, with the liberation of the writer's subjects, literature gradually changes from returning of noumenon into "American essays", a series of works with traditional jottings' romantic charm have appeared in fiction field, which expressed new social spirit and oriented aesthetic delight and included certain intensions of style experiments, the influence was so great that it was called "New Jottings". Which was both the product of new fashion and has deep historical cultural origin..At present, the researchers mostly focused on either finding out its root and pioneering significance, or researching its traditional and modern value, some of them involved its literary noumenon features, but obviously it needs to be researched further. My opinion is that only if we study the various factors of the forming of style and know the inner law of creation carefully, can we grasp the fiction model and literary phenomenon exactly. This paper just tried to make a discussion about that.Besides the preface and conclusion, there are two sections in it.The first section firstly gave the definition of "New Jottings", then discussed the art origins of it from the aspects of ancient jotting traditions, modern emotional outpourings traditions and foreign lyric jotting traditions , next it briefly introduced the occurrence and the creation of "New Jottings".The second section was the key part. it respectively illustrated the artistic features of "New Jottings" from six aspects. That is, the choice of themes, the expressions of characters, plot structure, narrative style , the language strategies, the characteristics of short length, which intended to explain the inner creation norm of "New Jottings".
