The development of the modern science and technology greatly changes the living environment of the human beings. The science and technology brings about the abundant material wealth for the human being, meanwhile, as a kind of the formed instrumental rationality, its vicious expansion causes the human civilization to be unfair and makes the earth be confronted with the crisis of the ecological imbalance and directly endangers the human's life. The global ecologicalism current arises, following the tide at the right time. The ecological movies to discuss the living predicament of mankind come out in succession, centering on the relationship between mankind and nature. This paper will apply the point view of ecologicalism to writing of the movie that is affected by the ecologicalism current. In this paper, four typical movies are available, such as The day after tomorrow, Himalaya, Gadameilini, Kekexil: Mountain Patrol. From the angle of ecologicalism, this paper inspect the ecology consciousness of contemporary movies as to the difference on themes and plots, characters images and narration techniques of movies, and through the contrast analysis of them, promulgates performance insufficiency of the Chinese movie existence ecology and emaciated characteristic of the eco-critics' strength.The paper is divided into three parts: In the first part, it briefly introduces the reason and the background of the ecologicalism current, analyzes the inevitable tendency of ecologicalism of contemporary movie writing, and displays different characteristics and trend of the movies after contemporary movie art and the ecologicalism are combined, based on combing expressing ecological consciousness creation practice of the western movies and the Chinese movies in detail.
