A Study On The Influence Of Western Ecologicalism Literary Theory On Chinese Contemporary Ecological Literature

This dissertation sorts out the development process of Western Ecologicalism Literary Theory,analyzes the development of Chinese Ecocriticism Theory and literary creation under the influence of Western Literary Theory,explores the localized contemporary Chinese Ecocriticism Theory and the achievements of Chinese Ecological Literature creation,and evaluates the limitations of the development of Western Ecologicalism Literary Theory in Chinese localization.I hope that I could do my best for the construction of Chinese Localized Ecocriticism Theory.The introduction delimits the research object of this dissertation,and provides a detailed description and analysis of the research status of ecological literary theory at home and abroad,also clarifies the research method,purpose and significance of this dissertation through the analysis and review of the research object and current research status.This article comprises three Chapters: the Development of Western Ecologicalism Literary Theory,the Study on the Localization of Western Ecologicalism Literary Theory in China,and the Historical Significance and Future Development Space of the Localization of Western Ecological Literary Theory.In Chapter I,the conceptual theories of Environmentalism,Ecologism,Shallow Ecology and Deep Ecology are firstly referred and analyzed,and the main schools and development stages of Western Ecological Literary Theory then reviewed and summarized.The Ecocriticism in the United States and the United Kingdom has made remarkable contributions to the development of ecocriticism worldwide,which proves to be a helpful reference and inspiration for the development of ecocriticism in China and other countries in the world.From the above mentioned analysis,we could have a clear idea of general development trend of western ecocriticism theory,and the three interwoven stages of its development.The continuous development and extension of the three stages make the theory more and more systematic,which lays a solid foundation for the further development of ecocriticism theory.In Chapter II,it discusses the Study of the Localization of Western Ecologicalism Literary Theory in China.Firstly,the dissertation analyzes the foundation components of the Localization of Western Ecological Literary Theory,the influence of external factors,the needs of the development of literature and the ecological ideological resources in traditional Chinese culture,which in turn paves a way in the dissemination,development and research of Western Ecological Literary Theory in China,and promotes the construction of a local-friendly discourse system.Secondly,it analyzes the influence of Western Ecologicalism Literary Theory on Chinese Contemporary Literary Theory,exampled by the ideological theories of Zeng Fanren and Lu Shuyuan,pioneers of Chinese Ecologicalism Literary Theory.Thirdly,it analyzes the influence of the Western Ecologicalism Literary Theory on the creation of contemporary Chinese ecological literature.In the first step,this paper elaborates on the definition of ecological literature,and then sorts out the development of Chinese ecological literature under the influence of western ecological thought since the 1980 s,and refers to some contemporary ecological literature works from different periods with characteristics of ecological thoughts and the transformation of the creative concept.And finally,it carries out a case study of works from the perspective of Western Ecologism.In Chapter III,it analyzes the contribution and limitation of the Western Ecologicalism Literary Theory in its localized process in China and its localized development space.This paper reviews the achievements of the Western Ecologicalism Theory in the Localization in China,analyzes the current difficulties and development limitations of Chinese Ecologicalism Theory and Ecological Literature,and attaches great importance to the significance of the Localization of Western Ecologicalism Literary Theory in the future.
