From the 1980's, the Chinese western film in full flourish. The Chinese Western Film reshaped the west into a mysterious, crystal and natural "Utopia" , as a result, construct the cultural image of west by the main stream culture. The thesis, based on the concept of "image" , analyzes all Chinese western films related to the west , attempting to crystallize the "western Image" across the topographical and ethnic images of west. The body of this thesis is divided into four parts: the western other image; the western part; the western amorous feelings; the constructed way of the western image. These attempts aim to demystify the halos surrounded "the western image" . In another sense, it also shows the narrative ways of "Western Culture" in Chinese cultural discourse and the ethos of geographical and tribal cultures.
