Special Landscape Of Female Writing

Fang Fang, a contemporary female writer with great creativity, attracts the attention of the critical circle because of a variety of women images in her novels. However, there is no one special and synthetic treatise on the relation between her portrait of women images and her female consciousness. This paper is to analyze Fang Fang's special women consciousness based on the women images in her novels. There are two major kinds of women images in Fang Fang's novels, including intellectual women and inferior women. From their living condition and tragic fate we can discover Fang Fang's female consciousness, which includes two ways: On one hand, Fang Fang criticizes the male power society because she finds so many women hurt greatly because of its culture. Besides, she is also disappointed at some selfish men who do great harm to women. On the other hand, Fang Fang reaches into the inner world of women and criticizes themselves, overthrowing the fable of Mother and analyzing many women's attachment. Therefore, she reveals the other reason for women's tragic fate.
