The impact of globalization makes English'a common language'or'lingua franca', which is taught and learnt all over the world, including China. English language teaching and learning as a major in Chinese higher education plays an important role to train personnel for fundamental education and even for the whole society. Another impact of globalization is that more and more foreigners come into Chinese EFLT, which makes the native and non-native English speaker teachers two camps. It is obvious that either of the two camps of English teachers has its unique features in terms of language proficiency, and teaching practice as well. The fundamental goal of our research is to study how to make full use of the resource and how to improve learning from each other between the two camps of English teachers, so as to enhance English language teaching and learning in China.Numbers of studies have issued abroad. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were used in this thesis, and questionnaire and interviews were conducted in two universities in a city in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to explore the students'expectations towards their English teachers of the native and non-native speakers in terms of teaching practice, language proficiency, cultural facility and course assignment. 300 college students participated in the survey. There are the several results of research.
