On The Father-son Relationship Mode In Chinese Contemporary Initiation Stories

"Initiation"is the permanent topic in the process of human's existence and development. There are a great mount of the literature writing the story of initiation, narrating the dramatis morality and spirit. The critic called it"Initiation Story". In 20centry Chinese literature history, there were also a lot of initiation story, especially in the contemporary era. From"seventeen years"to the present"after 70's", almost every influential writer narrated the story of initiation.Initiation is the necessary experience for everyone, but it doesn't mean that we have known and understood it. In fact, it's a complicated and profound proposition which worth our quest for the cultural meaning concealed in father-son relationship mode in initiation stories, because the cultural meaning concealed in father-son relationship is not simple as subversion, suspicion and denial on the dual-layer of common customs and spirit. The second part of this chapter reviews in context how the father-son relationship comes into being, have what particularity and the cause for this difference and what's the obstacle he met and his reaction in this relationship.
