The Lins of Wu-feng as one of the most important families in Tsing Dynasty,especially in the evening,and it had the name of"Taiwan's Second Family".From 1746 to 1854,It began to make a rise.From Lin Shi who began to go to Taiwan to Lin Jia Yin who manage the business,the Lins had the influence in middle part of Taiwan by their landholder status.The time between 1854 and 1862 is the harmonization period between the Lins and feudal office.Lin Wencha made a success by scotching Taiping Rebellion,Lins'clansmen entered officialdom and kept a good symbiosis with the government.They expended their political and economical power.The time between 1862 and 1864 is the strain period.In the course of scotching Dai Chaochun Revolution,the Lins which once was just a normal local family became the biggest family in the middle part of Taiwan.But in the course of expending their power,they touched the government's vitals,destroyed the balance of power,and suffered the jealousy from the enemies and the government.The time between 1864 and 1871 is the worse period.In order to strike the developing of the Lins,the government made a series of cases by using the people.The Lins almost suffered a destructive shock.The time between 1871 and 1882 is the adjusting period.In the Lin Wenming case,the Lins turned to accuse the case in capital.Finally they had to compromise,and the Lin Wenming case ended up with no fruit.The time between 1882 and 1895 is the consolidation period.Lin Chaodong and Lin Wenqin worked for government and tried hard to rebuild the good relationship with the feudal government. Lin Wenqin passed the imperial examinations.It was a chance that made the blood of the Lins turn to gentle style. Finally the Lins regained the government's trust and became a normative esquire family.
