On the basis of Chinese ancient books and historical records as well as some related research materials, the author of this paper, viewing from the development of world economic trade and world trade network, tries to expound the rise of Moon Port in Zhangzhou, trade relations between Moon Port and the outside world, the expansion of Western countries to the East, the Chinese government's permission for trade between Moon Port and Southeast Asian and Western countries, the decline of tribute trade and the formation of new trade structure, so as to illuminate the role and position of Moon Port in the marine trade transactions with Southeastern Asian, European and American countries and in the world trade network during the struggle against the ban on marine trade and the expansion of Western countries in the Ming Dynasty as well as in the formation of world trade network.
