During the 1930s and 1940s, the literary criticism of Li Jianwu is very popular in the circle of literature. His works of Jing School play an important role in literature of that time because of the critical way of fluency, and beauty. His unique way of writing is also very precious in today's world.Mr. Li Jianwu regards criticism as a kind of art. He thinks that every literary work is independent and complete. All his works show the beauty and independence of literary works directly, which are full of his personality and specialty. Those characteristics can expose the emotion and soul of the author to all the readers to the greatest extent. As to the style of writing, in comparison with other critics in his time, Mr. Li comes into the issue from a seemed far away point and then backs to the centre of works based on the proper comparison and imagery, showing the real and profound meaning of the literary works.Mr. Li has been greatly influenced by the Chinese traditional culture, which can be obviously seen in his critics such as his direct thinking, his principle of criticizing, and his attention on communicating with readers. And meanwhile, Mr. Li has also been enlightened by the western impressionistic criticism. He combines eastern and western ways of criticizing and absorbs both of their advantages. Furthermore, he has gone beyond both of them, making the impressionism more rational and the criticism of ancient times more transparent, which are of modernity. The way of Mr. Li Jianwu's criticism is resulted from his identity of being an author, his attitude toward literature, and his unique and profound opinion about criticism. Studying his criticism can help us to battle a way from the confusion of criticism.
