The main task of our study is to revise and develop a Standardized Intelligence Diagnosis Scale (SIDS) for 4-12 year old child, and lay the foundation for the formation of the norm. The whole process includes:First, restudy the intelligence theory, the famous intelligence scale as well as the research on mental retardation. The researcher obtained some references in several aspects for the revision of the scale.Next, the researcher trialed the SIDS for three times, and verified the SIDS according to the result of the trial. Then data analysis was carried on, including the item difficulty and the item distinction ability analysis. Mainly through the item analysis, the researcher edited the structure and the items. Finally, the researcher had determined the structure and the items of the SIDS, the full scale included 12 subtest and 151 items. The result of the model examination indicated, the full scale can be divided into three subscale, including verbal subscale, nonverbal subscale and working memory subscale. Data analysis was carried on, it showed that the scale is a good intelligence test with well reliability and validity. The researcher carried on the comparative study between the mild mental retardation and the ordinary students, as well as the case study, the results demonstrated that SIDS is a set of valid and convenient intelligence test instrument for identifying, diagnosing, and assessing child's intelligence level. At last, the researcher had determined a simple form of the scale, and it's useful for the intelligence assessment of the special students.
