Based on the analysis of Literature, questionnaire investigation and deep interview , We redefined the connotation of intelligence of cognizing person , constructed its theoretical model and developed a preliminary scale of it for college students. Using the Scale we investigated college students twice, then modified some items of the Scale and theoretical model of hypothesis, formed the formal one eventually. In order to study the characteristics of their intelligence about people, we investigated a big sample of college students by the formal Scale. The results showed as below.1. The Intelligence scale of cognizing person for college students has good reliability and validity. Its theoretical model concludes three dimensions, that is social cognition, relationship management and self- monitoring.2. There is no noticeable difference between the scores of male and female college students in the Sub-Scale of social cognition, relationship management, self-monitoring and the Total Scale. The scores of male students are significantly higher than female one in removing conflict, self-perceive, self-feedback, cognizing others and evaluating others. But the result is opposite in comprehending others, relationship cognition and interpersonal communication.3. The scores of students who had management experiences are significantly higher than those who had no such experiences in the sub-Scale of social cognition, relationship management and the Total Scale.4. The performance of science students are significanthigher than those who majoring liberal arts in the Sub-Scale of self-feedback and self-monitoring. But there is no significant difference in other dimension, other Sub-Scales and the Total Scale.5. The score of senior is significantly higher than freshman and sophomore in the total Scale;The score of senior is significantly higher than other three grades in the social cognition Sub-Scale;There is no significant difference between 4 grades in the relationship management sub-scale;The score of senior is significantly higher than freshman and sophomore in the self-monitoring sub-scale.6. There is interaction in sub-scales of self-perceive, comprehending others, interpersonal communication and self-monitoring.7. There is a trend that the growth of Intelligence of cognizing person is ascending with the increasing of age.
