This essay consists of three chapters.Chapter I . The source of native soil.This chapter is made up of three sections.Section I. Tracking down the histroy of the native soil oil painting from its birthplace ,we can find that even in the time of the Renaissence ,westerners began to draw oil painting and maybe Pieter Brueghel was the first one.Later many painters such as Courbet , Millet , Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh and some Russian painters had done such things .This had great effect on Chinese painters who drew such kind of painting later.Section II gives a description of the development about early Chinese native soil painting. Section III tells us that native soil painting had an important prosperous phase, and my essay focuses on the analysis of two representative figures belonging to native soil painting Luo Zhongli , Cheng Danqing and their representative works.Chapters II .Colorful native soil------the study about Chinese native soil paintingsince 1990. This chapters consists of 4 sections.Section I is about the course and the result of realistical native soil painting and it is also the most common way of native soil painting.My essay not only analyses stressly the course and the result of some painters' painting such as Gong Lilong, Zhan shan, Zheng yi, Xin Dongwang , Wang Hongjian and Zhao Xiaodong but also makes a simple analysis about the vision , characters of their works and their cultural meaning.Section II makes a study about representative native soil painters such as Luo Zhongli , Duan Zhengqu\Cheng Weiming and their works about expressionism.Section III makes a simple analysis and commentary about Sun Weiming and his native soil painting belonging to impressionism.Section IV gives both a list and brife introduction of native soil painters using some other ways like classicalism, abstractism and so on.Chapters III.The lack of native soil.This chapter consists of two sections.Section LThe slope of native soil.This section discusses the phenomenon that native soil painting is prosperous in North and West China but depressive in South and East China and its cause .Section II. The impact of new styles .This part expounds the impact and influence of various new kinds of style on native soil painting.
