The transformation of Chinese native-soil novels was closely related to the social transformation in China's rural areas.Since the beginning of the new century,Chinese villages have been fully integrated into the modernity system.The modernization and urbanization movement has promoted the structural changes in rural areas in China.Not only the rural politics,economy,culture,ethics,education,environment,health,and medical care,but also the farmers' production lifestyles,ways of thinking,family structure,behavioral habits,clothing,food,housing,and daily consumption,all showed new patterns of experience in the changes.Chinese native-soil novels in the new century have noticed dramatic changes in the modern countryside between "routine" and "change." They strived to express new villages,new farmers,new landscapes,and new stories with new ideas,new concept,new horizons,and new methods.New native-soil novels are with heterogeneous aesthetic features.This paper proposed the concept of “new native-soil writing” based on the literary facts of the aesthetic transformation of native-soil novels in the new century.First of all,the new native-soil writing is different from the new native-soil novels.The former is a complete literary activity.The latter exists as a phased achievement of literary activities in the form of works.One is the dynamic process of literary activities,and the other is the static text of literature.The new native-soil novels were just an important aspect of our research.Secondly,the new native writing has not yet been completed.We stood at the current time node to examine the literary changing,to discover the problems and summarize the experience,and to put forward literary expectations on providing effective resources for further creation of the native-soil novels.Therefore,the research of this thesis was oriented to the "occurrence" of new native-soil writing.This was a process and stage and we are at the initial stage.As a concept of new native-soil writing,we have made certain limitations on the scope.In terms of time,we borrowed Wang Hui's understanding of the concept of “century” and pushed the time range of the new century to the 1990 s based on the standards of identity from social reality and literary characteristics.We extended the boundaries of the countryside and modernized it along the countryside in space.The development process and the trajectory of farmers' migration included special areas such as townships,urban-rural fringe and urban villages.In this study,we narrowed the literary genre that new native writes to,and excluded literary genres such as poetry,prose and drama.Novels,especially long novels,were taken as research objects to avoid a too broad study.The reason why we chose long novels was because they had advantage in terms of the breadth,length,capacity,and height of realism,and we were able to present rich and complex real life.The core viewpoint of this thesis was to write a new story of Chinese village based on the new native-soil experiences.The major issues about the new native-soil writing were discussed below.First,why did the new native-soil writing take place and why did we chose the new native writing? Second,what was new native-soil writing? Third,what were the prerequisites for occurrence the new native-soil writing ? Fourth,what should be written in new native-soil writing? Fifth,how to write new native-soil writing? We have built a holistic framework for the issue of new native-soil writing along this logic of thinking.We have discriminated the concept of new native-soil writing,discussed the experiences of the new countryside and the experience of the new rural narrative,and on the basis of experience,we thought about which “new” and “big” rural stories should be told and how to use new expression techniques to construct literature and achieve breakthroughs in art forms.First of all,we needed to figure out the concept of the new native-soil writing,with the ontological question of essentialism.What was the the new native-soil writing? The new native-soil writing was not produced out of thin air,but was based on the constant exploration of "new native-soil literature" since the new period."Newness" in different eras has merged into the "newness" of new native-soil novels in the new century.This "newness" included not only the new contents of native-soil novels brought about by the changes in the realities of rural China in the new century,but also the innovations of Chinese traditional,national,local,and folk literature in the context of world literature.Based on the status quo of the creation of novels in the new century,the new countryside,and the new native-soil novels,We proposed the concept of the New Native-Soil Writing which was the basic facts of China's rural social transformation in the context of globalization in the new century.The “new rural experience” and the modern experiences of rural narratives,new ideas,new cultures,new values,and new historical views as the fundamental driving force,we reexamined Chinese villages from a global perspective and described rural areas with new literary styles and expressions.The life history and spiritual history of the Chinese peasants in the cultural soil demonstrated the new spiritual outlook and cultural temperament of the rural China in the new century.Instead of catching up with academic fashion or simply meeting the needs of innovation and change in the new century,the "newness" of new native-soil writing was based on our understanding and expectation of the current situation in the creation of native-soil novels in the new century.The "newness" of new native-soil writing included several important aspects: First,farmers were the subject of performance,avoiding the disadvantages of current rural novels that were separated from the peasants' writing of the countryside,but also avoiding the problems of the current rural construction that separated them from the development of the peasants.Second,the peasant character of the novel,peasant nature,which was a concept transferred from the people's nature,was emphasized here.It included the understanding of not only the peasants' psychological characteristics and personality structure but also the peasants' aesthetic interest and aesthetic characteristics.This was an epochal and present concept.Third,the problem of cultural self-confidence in new native-soil writing.Under the background of globalization,Chinese literature could not be self-styled or worship everything foreign.It was necessary to avoid literature falling into narrow nationalism while avoiding westernization of literature.It needed to strive to realize the localization of western literature and the modernization of traditional literature,and to fulfill the literary consciousness based on Chinese culture and reality.Fourth,the uniqueness of the new native-soil writing experience.We would incorporate the new rural experience into the Chinese experience category.This was the basic prerequisite for the realization of the new native-soil writing.Fifth,The literary writing of the Chinese country story,it's about the villages in China and the stories of China.We took China's new rural story into the category of China story and fulfilled literature writing in Chinese story based on the Chinese experience.On the basis of the concept,we needed to clear up the premise of the new native-soil writing,that is,the new rural experience and the new rural narrative experience.Today,some native-soil writers were unfamiliar with the land,villages,and peasants and did not really understand them.It was struggling to write in the new century while standing in the city and looking back at the country.the changes of Chinese villages were too fast and too complex In the new century.The rapidly changing countryside has already evaded the writers' existing experience.How to recognize the current countryside and rebuild the flesh-and-blood relationship between literature and the country has become the primary issue in the new native-soil writing.In the current “literary life” literary creation mechanism has long been abolished,and the rooted life could not be fully realized,we needed to re-explore a new rural experience model that balances perception and perception experience.At the same time,we also needed to learn from the experience of modern rural narratives.We summed up this experience as three aspects of “Lu Xun Style”,“Umbrella Pastoral” and “Tracking”.On the basis of learning and traditional innovation,we should maintain the literary context of native-soil novels and promote the modern development of native-soil novels.Based on experience,we needed to think about what should be written in the new native-soil writing.Modern villages were filled with too many "big" stories.The "big" here did not refer to the degree of events,but to the nature of the events and the impact on the future development of the village.The main point was the importance of the events themselves.At present,the land transfer system,new cooperatives,and beneficial farmers policies in the new century have a profound impact on rural output,and the new land system gives birth to “new rural people”.The new cooperative novels,that were different from previous cooperative novels,have already formed the important aspects of new native-soil writing.However,there were many problems while the new land system and rural policy are in the exploratory phase.Similarly,new cooperative novels were still in an unfinished state.The re-positioning of new peasant image was needed.The loss of rural culture in China has become an important issue in the new century.Literature has surpassed reality to try to rebuild modern rural culture.In the new century,the phenomenon of social stratification in China's rural areas was serious.There were a large number of new groups outside the ordinary farmers,such as the village party branch secretary,speakers,second-raters,capable people,village tyrants,private teachers,barefoot doctors,and migrant workers,rural college students,peasant soldiers,college student village officials and first secretary and so on.They played a key role in the cultural structure and economic development of modern rural areas,enriching the character galleries of native-soil novels.On the basis of what we wrote,another job was how to write new rural stories with new writing techniques? In the context of globalization,it's necessary for Chinese native-soil novels to create the own narration of China's narrative in order to gain respect and discourse power in literature.They could no longer follow the footsteps of western literature.Therefore,we needed to draw resources from traditional rural culture,folk culture,classical literature,and modern literature,to realize "Chinese style" literary innovation in language,structure,and narration.To advocate the folk “legendary narrative”,to express the country with folk ghosts and gods,and to tell the story of the country with ghosts and gods as narrators.Because the new narrative perspective can present an alternative village.At the same time,the rural world was a world of natural sounds.We could listen to the world through peasants' ears and tell the stories and present a unique world of soundscapes.The new village bred a new epic,but the current epic was more legendary.It can be said that the rural economy made a legend.At the same time,we introduced the literary phenomenon of non-fiction writing,and saw its unique significance in terms of its underlying vocalization.This thesis proposed the concept of "fictitious novels" based on the current literary phenomenon,and paid attention to the important contribution made in the style innovation of the native-soil novels.As a new literary concept,new native-soil writing,like the concept of "new century literature" and "new age literature",is a kind of literary expectation that has been put forward in the sprout period of literary phenomena.There are still many problems,but it can summarize the existing literary phenomena to a certain extent and point to the future of literary development as well,which has certain academic value.
