The figure of Jia Baoys is a center with whom the author Cao Xueqin express his philosophy(theory). "One monk One Taosit priest" is the hidden clue of the whole story structure, emphasizing the hazy philosophic spirit. Jia Bao yu's immortal "feelings of abandoning the stone" determined his philosophic choice, that is ,the rebellious consciousness of celestial being for no chance to express their talent makes them fed up with theconfucian and abandon the world. Jia Baoyu is an idleson of a noble family, he greatly admired death, and he has his own "death experience", Jia Baoyu's pursuit for life is shawn along the clue that "desire for life" "abominate life" "refuse life". Jia Baoyu seemed to deny the teachings of Confucius—Chinese main culture; He is not lack of benevodence, in fact, "benevolence" in Jia Baoyu is just to show care for the girls, not the traditional views of "charity". The philosophic significance of the figure of Jia Baoyu are always contradictory, and even unreasonable, which is the reflection of the literature figue with the author's philosophic confusion. The figure also reflect the most important thought that Buddhism and Taoism become one. He have both the traits of Buddhism and Taoism, but his thought is unstable, contradictory and disillusive in process of the pursuit. The sincerely belief and perplexity in his faith are combined and shown throught the figure. He seems to believe Buddhism, but never have faith in it. The ultimately choice of being a monk, is with a mysterious theory of pessimistic void, and immorality of human nature, in short, "The extreme top of love is venom". The world view of jia Baoyu is identical to the Chinese traditional world consiousness, embodying the advanced view that nature and human being can united to become one.
