Research On Feng Guifen's Social Ideas

China gradually got into the society of semi-colonial and semi-fedual since the first Opium war which happened in 1840,big powers'invasions and China's lose made China face great pressure and challenge from foreign countries;countiously peasant revoults made the order of feudal rule face tremendous menace .Internal revoults and external invasions made many people who knew a lot of knowledge realize that China faced the situation which didn't happen in the former thousand years and the powerful enemies who were not met by the Chinese people in the former thousand years,so,Gong zizhen .Weiyuan .Feng Guifen and others who belonged to the landlord class who insisted reforming in China put forward some ideas that"China should learn from the West to control them"and"China trdtional doctrines are main body and western knowledge are supplements"to reestablish the order of feudal rule .Feng Guifen learned from Lin zexu when he was young ,he also studied Wei yuan's works"hai guo tu zhi"and he took care the social situations of the capitalism nations so that he accumulatd rich foreign knowledge.Wei yuan thought"the West is advance in warship,gunpowder,the method of maintaining and training soldiers ."Feng Guifen brought forward"the West is more advancely than China not only in the warship,gunpowder,but also in the science and technology."Social idea is an important part in Feng Guifen's ideas.The text first part discussed Feng Guifen's criticism about social problems.He put forward many problems ,such as"peasant revoults and western invasions ,the development of economy is blocked ,the soldiers'ability of fighting is wake ."Feng Guifen was not satisfied to the real society ,so he conceived a ideal society ,his ideal society includes the things both"ancient and nowdays"and"Chinese and foreign",this is the second part .
