A Study On Western Painting's Manifestation Of Brush Stroke From The Internal Generation Mode Of Brush Stroke

The thesis mainly explored the brush stroke modality in the Western Painting. By reconsidering the definition of brush stroke and sorting out the development of the brush stroke form in Western Painting, the thesis endeavored to show the interrelation in between the internal structure of brush stroke, specifically, the relation between the internal generation mode of brush stroke and its manifestation.The thesis is composed of four chapters. The first chapter interprets related conceptions of modality of brush stroke in respect of the traditional definition of the brush stroke and the generation mode. The second chapter mainly discussed brush stroke's manifestation mode, including its definition interpretation and the relation between the brush stroke's internal generation mode and its manifestation. This chapter also analyses the effect and embodiment of the brush stroke's generation mode in its manifestation mode. The third chapter is the principal part. In respect of the specific way of implementing the brush stroke generation behavior in the artistic creation process and of brush stroke's participation in the painting construction, and further in combination of the recarding the development of the brush stroke form in Western Painting, this chapter discussed the interrelation in between the internal structure of the brush stroke. The last part comes to the conclusion of the meaning of the reconsideration of the brush stroke modality in the modern and contemporary history context.
