Metacognition is made in the 20th century to the mid-1970s by Flavel. He thought the meta-cognition is "personal cognitive process and the outcome of their knowledge or other related matters." And "for the completion of a specific task or objective,cognitive object to the initiative of the cognitive process for the regulation and monitoring and coordination."Metacognition is described as the cognitive process of self-control, cognitive theory to make up for past deficiencies, the theory based on meta-cognition cognitive process is divided into two levels, namely the level and the level of the object. Cognitive target identification, processing, and understanding of perception, memory, thinking is the object of the level of cognitive activity, as the object of cognition; Object of cognitive awareness, monitoring, evaluation and control the level of the activities, called meta-cognition. The article also studied by means of a questionnaire .The students'English reading impact on the performance of memory-related research. Metacognition also discussed the role of knowledge in reading teaching,further clarified the relationship between cognition and learning foreign languages.
