In this paper, the author tries to illustrate the characteristic of Xinjiang Sufism and its influence in three parts as follows:Part One: definition of SufismSufi is a collection name for various Islamic mystic individuals and organizations that are given the secret Upanisad, pursuing playing abstinence.Apart from keeping Islamic basic secret, Sufism pursues the integration with Allah. Zikr is the common ritual of every Sufi Religions Group. According to'Xinjiang Islamic history'edited by Xinjiang Islamic history editors, the author selected"the Three Group"as examples to illustrate the core of Xinjiang Sufism.Part Two: The characteristic of Xinjiang SufismThe features of Xinjiang Sufism are where the importance lies in this paper. Upon careful research, the author found out seven characteristic in Sufism as follows:1.Mystery2.Derivativeness3.Inheritance4.Inclusiveness and adaptability5.Realistic6.Sufism is one kind of idea rather than religion. Sufism is implicated in various Islamic religions groups.7.Variaty in its cultivation and complexity of its schools and their names. Part Three:The influence of Xinjiang SufismIslam has realized its localization and nationalization in the development from Arabic national religion into world one. In this process, it has to experience collision, contradiction, communication and integration with local traditional culture when it spread to a newly conquered region, consequentially rooted in this region.Because Sufism is school of mysticism, it differs in preaching from tradition. Its preaching is in artistic forms, generating Sufi literature, Sufi music, Sufi dance, Sufi calligraphy, Sufi painting and so on, forming complete system of Sufi culture and enriching Xinjiang Culture.
